Welcome to GuraAI, a powerful and deeply integrated assistant built directly into the Gurasuraisu dashboard. Powered by Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash, GuraAI is designed to be a fast, context-aware helper that can not only answer your questions but also see your screen and control your dashboard's functions.

Getting started

GuraAI is an opt-in feature. It is disabled by default and uses no resources until you turn it on. To get started, you'll need a Google AI API Key.

Get Your API Key

1. Visit the Google AI Studio.

2. Sign in with your Google account.

3. Click "Get API key" and then "Create API key in new project".

4. Copy the generated key. This key is your private password to access the AI service. Do not share it publicly.

Enable GuraAI in Gurasuraisu

1. Open Controls.

2. In System Settings (second grid), find the GuraAI toggle.

3. Hit the toggle to enable it.

4. The first time you enable it, you will be prompted to enter the Google AI API Key you just copied. Paste it in and press OK.

Your API key is stored securely and only in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to Gurasuraisu or any third party.

How to Use GuraAI

Summoning GuraAI is designed to be quick and intuitive:

Press and hold the drawer pill at the bottom center of the screen for half a second.

The AI assistant panel will appear, ready for your command. Simply type your request and press Enter or tap the send icon. To close the panel, click on the blurred background or press the Escape key.

GuraAI can adjust the visual elements of your dashboard.

Instantly open any installed Gurasuraisu application.

Customize the Clock

Fine-tune the appearance of the main clock to your liking.

Manage Your Environment

Control your workspace with simple commands.

"Enable minimal mode." "Switch to the next wallpaper." "Show me the previous wallpaper."

Ask Anything (with Google Search)

If GuraAI can't answer a question using its internal knowledge or tools, it can decide to perform a Google Search to find the latest, most relevant information for you.

"What's the latest news?" "Who won the game last night?" "How many ounces are in a gallon?"

How It Works: A Smarter Assistant

Visual Context (Screenshot Capability)

What makes GuraAI truly powerful is its ability to see what you see. When you make a request, GuraAI takes a quick, temporary screenshot of your dashboard. This visual context allows it to understand your requests more accurately. For example, if you ask a question about an open app, GuraAI can see it.

• Privacy First: This process is designed with privacy in mind. The screenshot is generated on your device and sent directly to the AI model. To capture the content of open Gurasuraisu apps, it cooperatively asks the app to provide a snapshot of itself, respecting browser security boundaries.

Conversational Memory (Powered by IndexedDB)

GuraAI remembers your conversation. You can ask follow-up questions without having to repeat yourself. This conversation history is stored securely in your browser's private database (IndexedDB) and persists even if you reload the page. If the conversation becomes too long or you encounter an error, the memory may be automatically reset to ensure smooth operation.
